Thank you for all of your support over the last 11 years!

After 11 amazing years in South Portland, Jeremy and I are leaving the Elsmere ownership group. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you this entire time. We will carry with us fond memories of creating and testing all the wonderful recipes that became the backbone of Elsmere, of learning the subtleties and nuances of Mama, our big beautiful smoker, and of staying up until 3:00 AM painting the dish room so we could get our food license in time to open the next day on August 17th, 2013.

We never could have anticipated the warmth and encouragement the community would provide to us. We thank you all for embracing us with open arms and allowing us to be the cornerstone of the neighborhood. While Jeremy and I thank all of you for your support over the last 11 years, our biggest thanks go to our amazing staff, the people who always greeted you with a smile, knew what you wanted to drink before you had a chance to order, and were the real heart and soul of Elsmere. To each of them we say: “We cannot begin to express our gratitude for your loyalty, hard work, friendship and perseverance. Your impact on Elsmere is immeasurable. In an industry that’s famous for relentless staff turnover, the Elsmere staff has been beyond remarkable; you are all rock stars!”

So, as Jeremy and I say a very fond farewell to the Elsmere community, from the bottom of our hearts we thank our amazing staff, loyal patrons and the entire Elsmere ownership group for enabling us to live out this amazing dream.
